Job Title: Programmer Analyst

Provide technical Enterprise Application Software support for Banner systems: review and test code changes / upgrades to determine impact on users; plan and conduct upgrades / updates into Development and Test environments; help to ensure maximum availability of Banner systems; assist Lead Programmer Analyst with Banner related updates, changes and upgrades; document, insert into Software Library, and implement in Development, Test, and then Production new reports, listings, dashboards and interfaces developed by OIT and non-OIT personnel. Liase with Business Intelligence analyst to help ensure ODS and EDW feeds are working properly and correct; Aid in the definition and design of any business cube design/re-design
Review of issues/problems, assess situations, and escalate to lead OIT personnel and even third parties as appropriate. Review and assess policies and practices for the improvement and maintenance of the Banner systems to include rollout, updates, code changes and upgrades. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties.
In support of Enterprise Applications Department, work directly with users to: conduct feasibility studies of new programming requests; identify and document software purpose, workflow issues, and output needs; develop alternative solutions; write up programming specifications and system flow charts; develop prototypes; design user-friendly interfaces to systems, applications, reports and databases; identify current operating procedures; and clarify program objectives.
Work closely with user department representatives and vendors on their day-to-day support and development assignments with regards to the University's Banner systems. Ensure appropriate access is provided to them to perform their duties yet maintain University data security and confidentiality. Monitor work quality and provide testing of all processes before moving code into Production.
Other technology-related duties as assigned.
