About the Opportunity

We are placing a Contract Program Manager with one of the top technology companies in the United States.

In this role, you will drive end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale social, creative, and communications programs — partnering cross-functionally with creative strategists, social teams, communications leads, and external agency partners. You will be critical in maintaining flawless execution across high-priority initiatives spanning flagship events, product launches, policy campaigns, and organizational programs.

We are actively building a pipeline of exceptional program management talent across the following domains: Technology, Business Development, Marketing, Language & Translation, Supply Chain, and Communications.

Candidates should have current or previous experience at a top-tier organization — including Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Netflix, Walmart, UnitedHealth Group, ExxonMobil, Nvidia, and Berkshire Hathaway — are strongly encouraged to apply.

Location: United States — Fully Remote (Preferred: San Francisco Bay Area / Menlo Park CA / Maryland / New York area)

Contract Type: W2 Contract

Start Date: Rolling — based on project availability

SweetRush is a remote organization, and as such, all resources must be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally be available during established working hours.

Hourly Range (US Only)

*Rate is negotiable based on experience

Your Impact and Responsibilities

Essential functions include:

  • Drive end-to-end project management for large-scale, cross-functional programs and campaigns (e.g., flagship events, product launches, policy/social campaigns), including developing project plans, timelines, RACI frameworks, and workback schedules
  • Support strategic planning processes including roadmapping, resource allocation, goal-setting, and the development and socialization of organizational processes
  • Partner with external agency teams and vendors on deliverable alignment and timelines, and support the expansion of centralized program management capabilities across the organization
  • Schedule and facilitate cross-functional meetings, track action items, manage stakeholder communications, and bridge the gap between creative and business needs

What You Bring — Required Skills

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience in marketing, communications, creative, or media environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs with complex timelines and cross-functional dependencies — with variety across program types (not solely one area)
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and navigate conflict resolution across diverse teams
  • Strong track record of coordinating and tracking milestones across programs of significant scale and complexity
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and maintain meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to distill complexity into clear updates for leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Proven ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of organic marketing, communications, social, and editorial team dynamics

Bonus Skills

  • Highly organized with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Openness to and curiosity about AI tools and workflows
  • Flexibility and adaptability in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Experience working across multiple functional domains: technology, business development, marketing, language/translation, or communications
  • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise communications or content operations at a Fortune 500 or global tech company

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
