Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Pipe Designer is to perform various piping design tasks for plant support and engineering projects. The goal is to maintain and continuously improve the performance of multiple chemical production facilities using AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • You will prepare general arrangement layouts, study drawings, piping isometrics, and detailed construction drawings.

  • You will develop 3D piping models for project reviews and presentations.

  • You will define project scope by creating and understanding deliverables based on business needs.

  • You will create as-built drawings for P&IDs, piping isometrics, and general layouts.

  • You will ensure project schedules and estimates are met with complete deliverables.

Qualifications

  • You have 3-5 years of piping design experience, ideally in the chemical industry or a similar field.

  • You have at least 2 years of experience with 3D model design and review software (CadWORX or Plant 3D preferred).

  • You have an Associate's degree in Design/Drafting or a related field.

  • You are proficient in creating or revising drawings based on design sketches and verbal instructions.

  • You have a strong understanding of computer graphics, drafting techniques, engineering drawings, and reproduction methods used within the engineering discipline.
