About Talex.ai

Talex.ai is building the expert workforce layer for the AI future — connecting top domain professionals with frontier AI teams to deliver high-quality, human-aligned data at scale. We combine a talent marketplace, smart task routing, and agent-powered infrastructure to improve how AI systems learn and evolve.

We’re not automating humans. We’re empowering experts. At Talex.ai, your expertise drives AI that truly understands complex physical concepts.

The Role

We are seeking Physics Master's graduates to collaborate on projects that involve designing and developing challenging physical problems for training state-of-the-art large language models. This role is ideal for individuals who want to directly influence AI reasoning and problem-solving in physics.

What You’ll Do
  • Problem Development: Create high-quality, complex physical problems that challenge AI reasoning.
  • Solution Verification: Ensure all problems and solutions are accurate, logically sound, and conceptually rigorous.
  • Difficulty Scaling: Refine problems across varying complexity levels, maintaining engagement and challenge.
  • Real-World Application: Design questions that reflect realistic physical scenarios and avoid trivial or overly theoretical prompts.
  • Quality Assurance: Review AI outputs for correctness, consistency, and clarity.

RequirementsWhat We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Physics from a top university.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience creating educational or competition-level physical problems.
  • Have worked with AI/ML projects or data annotation.

BenefitsWhy Join Talex.ai?
  • High-impact work: Directly shape AI’s understanding of physics at an advanced level.
  • Global collaboration: Work asynchronously with top-tier physicists and domain experts worldwide.
  • Flexible schedule: Contribute 10–20 hours per week (up to 40 hours possible) from anywhere.
  • Empowerment over automation: Your expertise isn’t being replaced — it’s defining the next frontier of AI.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
