  • Systematically uncover (sometimes design) winning creative formulas and audience segments through rigorous testing. Craf trobust creative briefs that plan ahead for future product launches and messaging shifts.

  • Push Notion’s acquisition engine further into a self-optimizing, compounding growth loop.

  • Partner with the Performance Marketing Lead to develop new marketing ideas/approaches and broaden skill-set.

  • Partner with analytics leads to build dashboards, funnel reports, and cohort analyses to uncover growth opportunities

  • Build relationships across the internal organization to garner resources and insights to drive scaled success for the Performance Marketing programs.

  • Regularly report on acquisition performance with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Partner with Marketing Operations Lead to develop internal efficiencies and improve down-funnel conversion rates.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience running and scaling paid performance campaigns at high-growth B2SMB SaaS or consumer tech companies.

  • Expertise with Meta Ads, Google Search & YouTube, and LinkedIn Ads. Bonus: experience with TikTok Ads and programmatic.

  • Proven track record of managing $1M–$5M+ annual paid media budgets and achieving (beating) ROAS/CAC goals.

  • Strong knowledge of attribution models, event-based tracking, and pixels/conversion APIs (GA4, Meta CAPI, Segment). Bonus: Instrumentation platform management

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in spreadsheets and behavioral analytics tools for slicing campaign data and evaluating audience performance.

  • Experience launching international, language-localized campaigns a plus.

  • Exceptional copywriting instincts and taste in performance creative that converts.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup—bias for action, no ego, full accountability.

  • You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience marketing an AI products.

  • Background in performance creative testing for video (UGC, talking-head, animated).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
