Role Overview 

PagerDuty is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our talented, customer-focused People Operations team! This role is tailored for an emerging HR professional eager to broaden their expertise in processes that bolster the entire employee lifecycle. It involves direct engagement with Dutonians globally to deliver outstanding experiences, collaboration across the People Team and various internal departments, and active participation in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing processes and elevating the employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Respond to employee queries and resolve issues - Promptly address internal and external employee questions with accuracy and empathy, exercising sound judgment when handling confidential information and escalating complex scenarios to subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate global onboarding activities - Manage first-day orientation presentations, system entry, background checks, HR compliance tracking, and reporting to ensure smooth employee transitions.
  • Maintain Workday data accuracy - Own data integrity for full-time employees and contractors, process employee changes like promotions and relocations, and participate in auditing activities.
  • Drive process improvement and documentation - Maintain knowledge base accuracy, identify self-service opportunities, contribute to continuous process improvements, and document new procedures.
  • Support People team programs and projects - Assist with Recognition programs, Employee Relocation administration, Engagement Surveys, and provide additional support for reporting, systems troubleshooting, and other HR initiatives as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with exceptional customer service skills, a team player, and comfortable being the front-line for general employee inquiries
  • Proficient in working with Google Suite, Slack, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong ability to juggle priorities
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of general HR, administrative or customer service experience (internship experience is relevant)
  • Previous experience with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), preferably Workday
  • Experience with maintaining an intranet or knowledge base is a bonus

The base salary range for this position is 60,000 - 100,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
