People & Culture Specialist

The People & Culture Specialist supports the People & Culture team at Asset Living and reports directly to the SVP of People & Culture. This role contributes to all components of our People & Culture strategy, with involvement across Talent Management, Talent Development, Learning & Development, and Culture & Engagement. This role involves assessing organizational needs, supporting comprehensive development and engagement programs, and helping implement strategies that foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.  

We are interested in candidates who have demonstrated a genuine interest in people and workplace culture. What matters most is a people-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow in the people & culture field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support and progressively take ownership of the weekly corporate new hire onboarding program  
  • Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training programs aligned with Asset Living’s goals and objectives  
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, location, and materials preparation  
  • Gather participant feedback and recommend improvements to continuously enhance programs 
  • Build relationships across the organization to support a positive employee experience and measurable business impact 
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of training on employee performance and organizational outcomes 
  • Learn and develop proficiency in People & Culture technology platforms such as Greenhouse Onboarding, ChartHop, and Asset Engage 
  • Support mid-year and year-end performance review process in its entirety  
  • Research and recommend creative strategies to strengthen culture and employee engagement  
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify development and engagement opportunities across the organization 
  • Partner cross-functionally on projects and initiatives that streamline processes and elevate the People & Culture function 
  • Stay current on trends, tools, and best practices in people operations 

Education/Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communication, or a related field preferred, but not required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered  
  • 0-2 years of experience in people operations, HR, recruiting, or a related function  
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience supporting or contributing to programs, events, or initiatives in a professional or academic setting   
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills  
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and facilitating conversations in a professional setting 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort working with data and basic reporting is a plus 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders  
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training platforms is a plus 
  • Genuine curiosity about people and workplace culture, with a strong desire to learn and grow

Asset Living is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the remote nature of this position and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role.  A reasonable estimate of the range is below.
