In 2025, Blackstone established Brio Real Estate (“Brio”) as a portfolio company focused on real estate credit. Brio is a commercial real estate services platform that supports Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies (“BREDS”) investments across the globe. The company provides support across key functions, including corporate, transaction, and management services. The critical infrastructure and capabilities Brio provides for BREDS allows for effective support in the management of its global portfolio.

Today, BREDS has more than $77 billion of investor capital across high yield / opportunistic real estate credit funds, a publicly traded Mortgage REIT, and liquid securities strategies. BREDS is part of Blackstone Real Estate, the largest owner of commercial real estate globally, owning and operating assets across every major geography and sector.

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to support our people strategy and help align it with our overall business objectives. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'll contribute to shaping our company culture, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational and performance management, learning and development, and employee engagement initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Support Talent Management: Assist in implementing performance management processes, including talent reviews, assessments, and talent development programs. Support succession planning efforts for key positions and help develop individual development plans.
  • Organizational Design: Partner with leadership to assess and recommend improvements to organizational design, including spans and layers, to support business growth.
  • HR Systems & Analytics: Support the implementation and user adoption of our HCM (Workday) to help scale the business for continued growth. Deliver HR intelligence that meaningfully supports leaders in running the business.
  • Employee Engagement: Contribute to the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives. Assist in assessing employee engagement (e.g., eNPS) and retention, recommending appropriate actions. Help promote and champion our company culture and values.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support the talent acquisition process, including onboarding. Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to drive positive outcomes.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities, goals, and outcomes. Conduct data analyses to support equitable compensation decisions.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Support the implementation of our D&I strategy, fostering a culture of belonging, innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

  • Strategic Thinking: You understand the key drivers of our organization, our systems, and our culture. You develop practical solutions to drive consistent improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field is strongly preferred. However, an associate's degree combined with over 10 years of experience as an HR generalist or business partner is acceptable in place of a four-year degree.
  • 7+ years of HR generalist or business partner experience including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, compensation, and benefits programs, as well as application of legal and government compliance guidelines. Real Estate or Financial industry experience is a bonus!
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct compensation planning with a business unit.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • A track record of success in team-oriented environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • A collaborative, dedicated team player with a sense of ownership.
  • Empathy and relatability to the needs and concerns of employees at all levels.
  • The ability to travel 20%, both domestically and internationally, is required.

Base Compensation Range:

$120,000.00 To $160,000.00. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Total Direct Compensation:  This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
