Context of the Role
Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, this role plays a key function of aligning and implementing the People agenda to support attainment of business goals. This role acts as a trusted advisor to the business by supporting the effective implementation of the company’s People strategy by shaping, implementing and effectively executing key People policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business by deploying global People processes at the local level, ensuring compliance with regional legislation and cultural considerations across North America, Canada and Latin America.
- Identify and develop talent across the organization while implementing performance management and development initiatives
- Provide day-to-day solutions to People issues, leveraging your expertise in employment law, team development, and organizational planning with the business and with Centres of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Internal Communications).
- Actively contribute to broader global People projects as needed.
- Support and facilitate effective change implementation, considering legal and social impacts while identifying and mitigating potential risks, especially as we grow in the region.
- Build strong business relationships across the region and business
- Actively identifies gaps, proposes changes to cover risks or improve efficiency
- Coach and develop fellow People team members as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated experience of working in a matrixed, international environment with a solid knowledge of labor law and dispute resolution, particularly in California. A broader experience across the region and internationally would be helpful.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a People business partnering role.
- Experience working in a matrixed, international environment with cross-border labor relations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong asset.
- Innovative, forward-thinking, and results-oriented.
- Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify issues and provide solutions to address
- Independent and able to manage pressure and shifting priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail and a strong completer-finisher.
- Technologically proficient, with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Google.
