People & Office Manager – USA

Miami, FL

At MAJORITY, we’re building a world where ambition knows no borders and where financial success follows you wherever life takes you. We’ve built a mobile banking platform for ambitious global citizens navigating life across borders that offers a smarter, more accessible financial membership designed to help people manage and grow their money, wherever they’re from and wherever they’re going.

We’re a global team of 30+ nationalities, working with purpose and building for impact. If you’re excited by big challenges and bold ideas, and want to help shape the future of international banking, we’d love to hear from you.

Role
We're hiring a People & Office Manager to own the full US employee experience, Human Resources operations, and office/basic IT support, partnering closely with the People & Office Manager for Colombia to keep practices aligned globally while running US execution independently.

This role suits someone comfortable managing HR at scale across a distributed, multi-state workforce with strong attention to compliance detail and a genuine service mindset toward employees and advisors alike. This position reports into the Chief People Officer.

This is an in-person position based out of our Miami office in the Wynwood area.

Responsibilities

People Operations & Compliance

  • Manage the full US employee lifecycle (excluding recruitment): onboarding, changes, benefits administration, and offboarding
  • Maintain compliance across the six states where Majority USA is a registered employer, tracking state-specific requirements (leave laws, final pay timing, handbook provisions, unemployment insurance)
  • Support worker classification practices for the 1099 contractor population in the advisor channel, working with Legal/Finance as needed
  • Administer benefits programs (medical, 401(k)) and serve as the primary contact for employee questions
  • Manage HRIS data integrity in ADP Workforce Now Next Gen and related systems (Employee Navigator, Human Interest)
  • Draft and maintain employment documentation via DocuSign workflows
Employee experience
  • Serve as the go-to person for a distributed workforce, many of whom are not physically in the Miami office (on-the-ground advisors across multiple states)
  • Run onboarding for new hires and advisors, ensuring consistent experience regardless of location
  • Support engagement and culture initiatives for a distributed, sales-oriented population
Office Management
  • Manage day-to-day operations of our new office in Wynwood: vendors, supplies, facilities
  • Coordinate logistics for company events, meetings, and travel as needed

IT Onboarding and Support

  • Provide basic IT support and device management (Mosyle MDM) for the US team
  • Coordinate with the global IT/Platform team on escalations and access provisioning
  • Support IT onboarding/offboarding logistics (equipment, accounts)

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources/People operations experience, ideally with multi-state US compliance exposure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (full fluency required)
  • Comfort supporting a distributed, non-co-located workforce (not just a single office)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to compliance detail across multiple jurisdictions
  • Basic IT/device management aptitude (MDM tools like Mosyle, general troubleshooting)
  • Experience in a startup, fintech, or sales-driven organization is a plus

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
