Job Description
Join our team in a unique role providing programmatic, analytical, and technical support to our West Coast Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems Ship Integration and Test (PEO IWS 1SI) Waterfront Management team at Naval Base San Diego. Position will integrate with and support other entities supporting PEO IWS missions, initiatives, and strategies; including NSWC Port Hueneme (PHD) Combat System Project Engineers (CSPEs), Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) / Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), NSWC Dahlgren and various program contractors.
The selected candidate will ensure the successful completion of performance-based deliverables using BAE Systems and customer processes, work instructions, and customer's directives. This process requires a critical eye for technical accuracy and adherence to governing documentation, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, ask clarifying questions, and apply sound judgment to verify technical data. A familiarity with the AEGIS combat system will be beneficial in ensuring technical data accuracy and resolving unclear documentation. Selected candidate is responsible for analyzing message traffic related to ship maintenance, including command changes, risk assessments, and schedule changes and for ensuring all relevant information is considered to properly plan and execute ship maintenance.
The selected candidate will collect, analyze, and extrapolate data from CSPE reports, Type Commander (TYCOM) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Collaboration, and Intelligence (C5I), TYCOM C5I Integration Process (TCIP) reports, and correspondences from Program Acquisition Resource Managers and Alteration Installation Teams. This technical data, current availability and planning status, and System Operability Verification Test (SOVT) details are entered into Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII). Requirements include collaborating with onsite customers, collecting and analyzing maintenance reports, participating in various waterfront activity meetings to status ship availability and planning progress, risks, and limitations and generating various dashboard reports.
The ideal candidate is detailed and goal oriented, has a high level of self-accountability, professionalism, motivation, and dedication, has a strong attention to detail, and works well independently and within a team setting. Tasking is performed in an office environment; however, ship visits in an industrial environment may be required.
This position is at Naval Base San Diego, CA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego, CA or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, business, computer science of IT discipline and minimum of 3 years of related/relevant work experience OR Associate degree and at least 4 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 6 years of related experience
At least 3 years of experience supporting military programs
Proficiency with MS 365 (TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe products
AEGIS Combat System experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience as a Work Center Supervisor
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
