Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for employees on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits
  • Verify timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
  • Manage tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional manner
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
  • Proven experience in payroll processing or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems
  • Understanding of wage and hour laws and tax regulations
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar payroll systems
