At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Payroll Specialist, a typical day will include the following responsibilities/duties:

Responsible for Multi-state payroll processing with strong Deltek Costpoint and UKG experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Timesheets
  • Post Labor
  • Process Payroll
  • Entering salary changes, new hires and terminations
  • Perform maintenance on system to include setting up contract work forces, employee records, etc.
  • Conduct briefings for employee and supervisors
  • Assist with audits when needed
  • Respond to employees questions

Required Qualifications:

  • Deltek Costpoint experience
  • 2+ years  experience with processing payroll 
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Discretion handling confidential information
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently completing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of Federal/state tax laws and withholdings
  • Education Req: BA/BS / Years of Exp: 2+ 

Desired Qualification

    • Experience with UKG (Ultipro) system
    • Microsoft Word/Excel
