Reporting to the NORAM Payroll Sr. Lead, the NORAM Payroll Analyst will ensure accurate processing and recording of NORAM semi-monthly payrolls, provide timely and accurate financial information using an outsourced payroll model with ADP. Strong Knowledge of NORAM Payroll and regulations. The right candidate must be a team player and is required to have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day running of the assigned pay groups, ensuring payroll calendars and deadlines are met.
- Liaise with internal HR partners to collect and organize payroll data before submission to 3rd party providers. Ensuring a thorough understanding of data
- Partner closely with the P&C team to ensure all inputs for contractual changes and any variable input are confirmed, included within agreed KPIs
- Perform specific duties related to insurance plans, 401k and timely vendor payments
- Perform updates to payroll-related information and data and manage overall payroll workflow
- Ensure timely processing of all new hires and terminations
- Work with tax filing service to resolve any outstanding tax filing issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and tax regulations as well as SOX controls, internal frameworks and governance.
- Assist with handling queries from employees, internal partners and vendors.
- Run payroll reports and assist the Payroll Sr. Lead with reconciliation of payrolls ensuring that all data is downloaded and saved in the agreed manner
- Participates in Payroll year-end activities. Monthly reconciliation of Tax Authorities and Compliance end-of-year requirements ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met
- Assist with reporting requests from the business.
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested to support the team.
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll and tax reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
- Identify improvements to payroll systems and assist in implementation.
This is a hybrid role out of our Detroit, MI office (2 days per week).
What will help you succeedMinimum Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience of processing End to End payroll across the NORAM Region
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with outsourced managed payroll, specifically ADP, in a shared services or operational environment.
- Experience using SFEC HCM.
- Experience of processing stock compensation is desirable
- Solid functional knowledge, commensurate with level, including understanding of payroll processes and regulations aligned to SOX compliance
- A proven, customer driven attitude towards employees of all levels
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
- Capable of working independently, as a member of the team, and in partnership with vendors

DOE, salary $50K - $70K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
