As a Paymaster at GreenSlate, you will own the full payroll processing cycle for your assigned clients, including reviewing and calculating timecards to ensure compliance with federal, state, and union regulations; entering start documents; compiling payroll reports and invoices; and managing payroll releases from check distribution through accounting import. You will support VIP projects and clients with significant union involvement and provide day-to-day training and support to Payroll Administrators and Coordinators within your squad. Your accuracy, union expertise, and ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment will directly determine the quality of service GreenSlate’s production clients receive.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU- Work directly with clients to manage payroll processing with a high level of service
- Review and calculate client timecards, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and union laws and regulations; follow up with clients to advise on discrepancies when necessary
- Enter and process start documents and timecards, including verifying electronic onboarding data for payroll and ensuring accuracy within tight deadlines
- Compile and review payroll reports and invoices for client review and approval
- Manage payroll releases, including check printing and distribution, accounting import verification and releases, digital notifications, and the creation and maintenance of client protocols
- Manage and support assigned non-union and union payroll clients, especially VIP projects and clients with heavy union involvement
- Perform administrative duties related to payroll processing, including verifying employment history, reporting, unemployment processing, filing, and scanning
- Provide day-to-day training and support to Payroll Administrators and Payroll Coordinators within the squad
- Provide feedback to Senior Paymasters and Payroll Managers within squads
- 3+ years of experience in payroll or production accounting
- 2+ years of experience with entertainment union contracts
- Experience in the film and TV industry is a plus
- Ability to manage high-volume work with competing priorities under pressure
