The Patent Litigation Associate will represent clients in patent litigation, draft briefs, engage in discovery, and handle PTAB proceedings with a focus on technology-driven disputes.
A top-tier intellectual property firm is seeking a mid-level to senior Patent Litigation Associate with experience in computer hardware and software technologies to join its growing practice. This team handles sophisticated disputes across U.S. district courts and PTAB proceedings, including inter partes review (IPR).

Role and Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in patent litigation matters involving computer hardware and software technologies.
- Handle PTAB proceedings, including inter partes review (IPR).
- Draft substantive briefs, motions, and PTAB filings.
- Take an active role in fact and expert discovery, including depositions.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, technical analysis, and client interaction.
- Engage with technologies such as semiconductors, networking, data compression, digital video, and related systems
Anticipated Compensation:
- Base salary range: $310,000 – $390,000, depending on experience, background, and qualifications.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of patent litigation experience at a law firm.
- At least 4 years of solid district court litigation experience.
- Experience with IPR/PTAB proceedings strongly preferred.
- Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (required).
- Exceptional writing skills are a must.
- USPTO registration preferred, but not required.
