NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTEER ROLE
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven volunteer Partnerships & Sponsorships Coordinator to join our team. This role will work closely with the Board Member for Fundraising and Development to identify and build relationships with potential partners and sponsors, helping to secure vital support for the South Project’s initiatives. As a volunteer, you will be responsible for developing sponsorship opportunities, managing relationships, and supporting the growth of our programs that empower young mothers. Your work will play a key role in ensuring the sustainability and success of our efforts.
We’re looking for a proactive, organized individual with:
Proven experience in partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising, or business development.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage corporate, local business, and nonprofit partners.
A strategic mindset and the ability to create tailored proposals and sponsorship packages.
Organizational skills to manage multiple sponsorships and track outcomes.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach, with a passion for our mission to empower young mothers.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience working with nonprofits or in a volunteer capacity.
A network in the community or corporate sector that can be leveraged for partnerships.
Familiarity with sponsorship and fundraising platforms and tools.
Experience in marketing, public relations, or event planning to support sponsorship efforts.
A genuine passion for supporting young mothers and contributing to social change through partnerships.
