The Partnerships Specialist (Sourcing) is responsible for supporting strategic and business initiatives across relevant product categories; with a focus on Veterinary Diagnostics. This role will work closely with category management, internal and external business partners (commercial, marketing, finance, supply chain, legal, technology) to drive collaboration and accelerate execution through functional partners; resulting in the best available value through strategic sourcing, category management, and business development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships as a commercial liaison, creating strategies and deployment tactics to optimize overall performance for one of the industry leaders in this space
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve operational issues that arise internally or externally regarding our suppliers
  • Support increased collaboration with internal business partners including commercial, marketing, finance, supply chain, legal and technology to increase efficiency in commercial execution
  • Maintain and proactively manage contract pipeline, including proactive identification of upcoming key contract renewals and negotiation opportunities
  • Support supplier negotiation processes, along with executing sourcing activities
  • Support the negotiation of contracts, rebates, and statements of work with suppliers to drive profitability, while allowing our sales team a complete, competitive portfolio of product categories
  • Support the development and implementation of supplier strategies, including new product launches, rationalization of products categories for top suppliers
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for core business functions and processes
  • Execute and support portfolio strategies using standard sourcing/supplier management processes and professional program management practices
  • Demonstrate value contribution to the business, using key performance indicators to track and report progress
  • Identify projects that can impact business growth, provide regular updates on project performance, and report on EBITDA impact to business
  • Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance
  • Support supplier business reviews and trade show attendance, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration or other relevant degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in related field (partner relations, diagnostics, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, etc.)
  • Structured approach to program management, proven ability to deliver results from multiple projects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, strategic, and collaborative skills are essential

  • Proven experience with Excel and working with databases

  • Experience in business, manufacturer, and/or customer analytics
  • Experience conveying key insights in summarized business terms
  • Analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use market and data research

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

$53,300.00-$76,200.00
