About Canals

Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.

We’re an 80-person team (~50 in engineering), located across North and South America.

The Role

We’re hiring our first Partnerships Marketing Manager to build and scale how Canals goes to market with partners and builds deep relationships with industry associations. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, and partnerships and is critical to forging new strategic relationships and accelerating pipeline through ecosystems—not just direct demand.

You’ll be responsible for designing the partner marketing strategy from the ground up and executing hands-on programs with ERP providers, technology partners, and industry associations that already serve our customers.

This is a builder role. You’ll define what “good” looks like, test aggressively, and turn what works into repeatable motion.

What You’ll Do
  • Own partner GTM strategy and define how Canals launches, positions, and co-markets with partners across the funnel.

  • Build a partner marketing program including Co-branded campaigns, joint webinars, events, content, case studies, and enablement assets.

  • Identify and execute on high-value partnership opportunities across our industry and technology ecosystem.

  • Drive partner-sourced pipeline working closely with Sales to ensure programs convert into qualified opportunities.

  • Enable partners by creating messaging, pitch decks, one-pagers, and playbooks that help partners sell Canals confidently.

  • Coordinate launches & announcements including PR, product launches, and marketplace listings when relevant.

  • Track partner engagement, pipeline influence, and ROI—then iterate.

  • Partner tightly with Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing and Sales.

What You’ll Bring
  • 4–7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with meaningful time spent in partner or ecosystem marketing

  • Experience marketing to manufacturing, construction, distribution, or other blue-collar industries is required.

  • Experience working with technology, platform, or channel partners (ERPs, marketplaces, integrations, agencies, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of B2B GTM motions and how marketing supports revenue—not just awareness

  • Proven ability to build programs from zero in fast-moving environments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—clear, practical, and customer-focused

  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and ownership in an early-stage company

  • Background at Series A–C companies

  • Familiarity with partner-sourced revenue models and attribution

  • Experience collaborating closely with sales and partnerships team

Why Join Canals
  • Real-world impact: your work improves global supply chains, saving customers time and reducing waste.

  • Strong engineering culture: we invest in quality and documentation to keep moving fast sustainably.

  • Culture of ownership: moving fast while putting quality first.

  • Remote-first, flexible work environment across North and South America.

  • Stellar product-market fit with tons of customer love.

  • All star team with diverse backgrounds to collaborate with and learn from.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
