About Medal

At Medal, we’re redefining the way gamers connect, share, and relive their greatest in-game moments. Our platform makes it easy to clip, edit, and share gaming content—whether you're capturing a legendary headshot or just hanging with friends in voice chat. Over 2 million gamers use Medal every month to showcase their moments, and we’re just getting started.

We're a fast-moving team backed by top-tier investors. Our culture is builder-first: we move quickly, make decisions with creators in mind, and aren’t afraid to challenge conventions when it improves the product.

The Role

We're looking for a strategic and highly motivated Partnership Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and nurturing partnerships with game developers, content creators, and other key stakeholders across the gaming ecosystem. You'll work cross-functionally to design impactful campaigns, build long-term relationships, and create mutually beneficial opportunities that drive growth for both our partners and Medal.

This is a full-time role with plenty of room to grow in a fast-paced and ambitious environment.

You Will
  • Identify and prospect high-value partners across the developer and content creator landscape

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of partnership opportunities

  • Execute creative outreach strategies via social media, industry events, and direct communication

  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements aligned with company objectives

  • Design and lead partnership campaigns with minimal oversight

  • Collaborate with internal teams to bring campaigns to life, ensuring smooth execution

  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring their success and satisfaction

  • Regularly report on campaign and partnership effectiveness

  • Create frameworks, policies, and processes to scale partnership efforts

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity

You Need
  • 3+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, influencer marketing, or a similar role in the gaming or tech industry

  • Strong understanding of the developer and creator ecosystems

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • A proactive and self-directed approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated success in executing partnership campaigns end-to-end

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure impact and drive performance

  • Passion for gaming, internet culture, and digital communities

Why Join Us

At Medal, you’ll have the autonomy to make an impact from Day 1. You’ll join a team that values humility, curiosity, and momentum—and you’ll help shape the future of how gamers share and connect around the moments that matter most.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
