The Partner Sales Director generates revenue from new and existing relationships with our referral partner channel. Primary responsibilities include managing a region of the country to create business opportunities, contributing to the Direct CDH and COBRA Sales and Marketing team, building relationships, and reaching activity and revenue annual sales goals. Experience selling CDH/COBRA, HRIS, payroll, and the ability to “see the big picture” are a must.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The ability to manage the logistics of travel throughout the country.  Plan and set up own travel schedule, reservations, and logistics required for meetings.

  • Establish and attend meetings with new and existing relationships to further our partnership and generate leads and opportunities from these relationships.

  • Deliver presentations and conduct product training and demonstrations to increase market share and drive growth.

  • Prioritize revenue-generating activities. 

  • Participate in weekly sales development meetings and other strategy and team meetings.

  • Use Salesforce to track and update sales opportunities and external contacts consistently.

  • Travel to strategic markets and events 20 times throughout a given year.

  • Emotional Intelligence:  Must possess high emotional intelligence, whether on the road or in the office.

  • Customer Service: Interacts with sales professionals, clients, and colleagues professionally.  Takes immediate action to meet requests and needs. Has the ability to differentiate between exceptional and good customer service delivery.

  • Interpersonal / Communication: Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write effectively.  Must have the ability to listen, evaluate, and exercise independent judgment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality when using sensitive materials. Ability to build effective working relationships.  Expresses appreciation to others for their work.  Treats others with respect.  Must operate in a team environment.  Is a role model for others in the area of professional behavior.  Provides respectful and effective feedback to others.

  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to organize, prioritize, and delegate work to maintain an engaged workforce.  Involves the team in quality initiatives.  Must be able to plan projects and multi-task effectively.

  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,  AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Previous sales experience

  • Proven history of sales and relationship success

  • Operates with a strong growth mindset

  • Owns a competitive spirit

  • Understand the qualities of an “Ideal Team Player” (Humble, Hungry and Smart)

  • Understands the importance of building and growing relationships with our partner contacts and internal WEX team members. Works to protect and foster these relationships.

  • Willingness to work with others on strategic opportunities and help team members win.

  • Computer proficiency is required

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Must be an independent worker with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to travel 15-20 times annually

  • Has the ability to differentiate between exceptional and good customer service delivery.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
