More About Hex

Hex is on a mission to make everyone a data person.

Over the past year, we’ve shipped major innovations that reimagine how people explore, analyze, and act on data, blending deep analytical power, governed context, and AI-driven self-serve in a single platform. Our customers use Hex to replace brittle BI dashboards, unblock overburdened data teams, and help entire organizations make better decisions with data.

As we scale, partnerships are becoming a critical growth lever. We work closely with leading data platforms and infrastructure providers and we see a major opportunity to expand our reach through deeper technical partnerships, ecosystem marketing, and systems integrators.

We’re looking for a Partner Marketer to help define and execute our partner go-to-market strategy.

What you’ll be doing

This is a strategic, hands-on partner marketing role spanning co-marketing, enablement, messaging, and ecosystem expansion.

Strategic Partner GTM

  • Own partner marketing strategy for Hex’s most important technical partners (Snowflake, AWS, ClickHouse)
  • Work closely with partner teams to identify high-impact joint marketing programs
  • Develop shared narratives that clearly articulate the value of Hex + partner solutions together
  • Prioritize where to invest based on partner alignment, reach, and business impact

Co-Marketing Programs & Campaigns

  • Plan and execute joint initiatives such as campaigns, events, webinars, field marketing, and advertising
  • Coordinate partner participation in launches, announcements, and major moments
  • Ensure joint programs are well-positioned, on-brand, and measurable
  • Collaborate with demand, events, and content teams to bring programs to life

Partner Messaging & Collateral

  • Create one-pagers, solution briefs, and messaging frameworks that explain the joint value proposition
  • Develop partner-specific decks and materials for internal and external use
  • Ensure consistency across partner-facing and customer-facing assets
  • Continuously refine messaging based on partner feedback and market response

Partner Sales Enablement

  • Build presentations and messaging designed for partner sales teams
  • Enable partner sellers to understand Hex, when to position us, and how we win together
  • Partner with sales and alliances teams to support co-selling motions
  • Create scalable assets that can be reused across multiple partners

Ecosystem Expansion

  • Explore opportunities with adjacent and emerging partners
  • Evaluate where shared stories or joint solutions can meaningfully expand reach

Systems Integrators (SI) Strategy

  • Develop an initial marketing strategy for working with systems integrators
  • Brief SI partners on Hex’s product and ideal use cases
  • Collaborate on training, implementation, and enablement programs
  • Identify repeatable motions that help SIs successfully deliver Hex for customers
Skills & traits we’re looking for
  • Partner-first mindset: You enjoy working across company boundaries and building win–win relationships.
  • Strong storyteller: You can articulate a clear, compelling value proposition across multiple products and teams.
  • Strategic + hands-on: You can define a plan and execute it yourself.
  • Technically curious: You’re comfortable learning how modern data stacks work and how products fit together.
  • Clear communicator: You can create crisp messaging and assets for diverse audiences — partners, sellers, and customers.
  • Organized operator: You can manage multiple partners and programs without losing clarity or momentum.
  • Collaborative: You work well with sales, product, alliances, and external teams.
Experience that would make you a strong fit
  • Experience in partner marketing, ecosystem marketing, or alliances at a B2B SaaS company
  • Experience working with cloud, data, or infrastructure partners (e.g. Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Databricks)
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (warehouses, databases, transformation, observability, AI)
  • Experience creating partner-facing collateral and sales enablement materials
  • Exposure to co-marketing programs, joint events, or partner-led campaigns
  • Experience working with or marketing through systems integrators
Examples of projects you’ll work on
  • Designing and launching a joint Hex + Snowflake marketing initiative
  • Creating a one-pager and sales deck for AWS sellers to position Hex
  • Developing a partner demo or solution brief with ClickHouse
  • Identifying and launching a pilot co-marketing program with a smaller ecosystem partner
  • Building an initial SI enablement and training program for Hex
Desired traits
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proactive and self-directed
  • Curious about technology, ecosystems, and go-to-market strategy
  • Enjoys building new programs from scratch
  • Willing to iterate and learn as partnerships evolve

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
