Roblox is seeking a Partner Manager to join the Entertainment Partnerships vertical and collaborate with studios and IP holders aligned with Roblox’s strategic content goals. In this role, you'll work closely with top entertainment brands to develop and elevate their presence on Roblox and achieve sustained success on the platform.

The Partner Manager will serve as the studio’s end-to-end lead, managing all aspects of the relationship from early stage education to dev sourcing, platform best practices, monetization strategy, KPI’s, technical escalations, product adoption, and more. You will help current and prospective partners find long-term success by providing strategic guidance, product/policy expertise, up-to-date resources/best practices, and coordination between partners and internal Roblox teams. For key strategic partners, you will anticipate and navigate blockers while managing internal communications and stakeholders. This is a partner facing role requiring expertise in UGC gaming, deep knowledge of entertainment IP and Roblox trends, and a proven track record of executing major partnerships with premium IP’s and brands.

Successful candidates will bring strategic vision, strong organization skills, and a passion for Roblox and UGC gaming to the workplace; they’ll be adept at navigating complex internal networks and ever-evolving policy considerations, while working with a vibrant creative community of developers.

This role is full-time and located at our headquarters in San Mateo, California or Los Angeles (remote) and will report to the Group Director.

You Will:

  • Support partnerships team across the Entertainment vertical, broader partnerships team projects, and vertical specific initiatives (eg, IP driven theatrical campaigns + events)
  • Serve as subject matter expert for high-touch vertical products (eg, Marketplace, Creator Dashboard, Approved Merchandiser Program, IP Platform, Experience Guidelines, Moderation, Ads) navigating policy and coordination with other product teams
  • Drive operations and technical solutions for external partners and agencies
  • Collaborate internally with Roblox's Marketing, Communications, Developer Relations, Economy, Ecosystems, Moderation, and Legal teams to help support partnership launches 
  • Ideate ways for entertainment brands and IP to enter Roblox in an authentic way; create data driven presentations to represent this to potential partners
  • Enable Roblox economy growth by facilitating experimentation and various monetization efforts  
  • Support the broader Partnerships team by helping with case studies and organizational elements, such as streamlining processes, pipeline, confluence, and other internal communication documents
  • Collaborate with the Insights team to pull partnership metrics and optimize partner activations

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience as an account manager or in a similar role
  • Domain expertise with UGC, social and gaming; ability to understand and craft for player behavior, expectations and trends 
  • Understanding of game design, principles and mechanics
  • Experience working with Entertainment brands, creators and developers 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile and iterative tech environment; adept at navigating changing circumstances and ambiguity 
  • Superb project management and organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering high quality presentations and partner facing materials

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$160,730$196,900 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
