About Numeral

Numeral is transforming how taxes get done. Digital businesses are currently bogged down by a painful web of regulations across 47 states and 70+ countries. We’re eliminating this burden so teams can focus on their core mission.

We’re the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution. Started in 2023, Numeral has raised over $57M from Benchmark, Mayfield, Y-Combinator, and many others. We now serve over 3,000 paying customers and have more than tripled our revenue every year in our history.

We’re primarily hiring in our SF and NY offices, but do hire remotely in some cases.

Mission

Running an online business today means wearing a thousand hats, most of them not the reason founders started their company. Our mission is to eliminate the administrative and accounting burdens that distract businesses from doing what they love.

We’ve already helped thousands of businesses avoid the headache of building giant finance teams just to manage tax compliance. Tomorrow, we’re scaling that impact even further: building the automation layer that lets internet businesses stay nimble, compliant, and future-proof.

About the role

Numeral's accounting partner channel spans every size of firm from large regional and national practices down to the thousands of small and mid-market firms, bookkeepers, and outsourced CFO/CAS providers who work hands-on with the growing businesses Numeral serves every day. We're hiring a Partner Alliance Manager, Accounting to own and scale this broader end of the channel: a role built for someone creative and dynamic who wants to build a high-volume engine from scratch, not inherit one that's already running.

You'll manage a high-volume portfolio of mid-market and emerging accounting firms, bookkeeping practices, and CAS/outsourced CFO providers, recruiting and onboarding new partners, enabling them to spot sales tax and VAT exposure, and turning the channel into a consistent, growing source of referrals. This is a great role for a driven go-getter who's hungry to make a visible impact at the volume and pace Numeral moves at, and who wants to build real ownership over a partner channel and grow into a more senior partnerships or alliance-management career at a fast-growing company.

What you’ll do

  • Own and manage a high-volume portfolio of mid-market and emerging accounting firm, bookkeeping, and CAS/outsourced CFO partners

  • Recruit and onboard new partners into Numeral's accounting channel, guiding them from first conversation through activation and their first referral

  • Design and run scaled enablement (trainings, webinars, and playbooks) that help partner teams confidently identify and refer sales tax and VAT exposure

  • Track and manage partner and referral activity in Salesforce (or a similar CRM) and PRM, following up consistently to keep partners engaged and deals moving

  • Support partner marketing initiatives (co-branded content, newsletters, and webinars) that keep Numeral top of mind across the channel

  • Run regular check-ins with partners to nurture the relationship, answer questions, and identify opportunities to grow referral volume

  • Partner with the senior accounting partnerships team and Sales to escalate larger opportunities and share what's working across the channel

  • Monitor channel health metrics (referral volume, partner activation, and engagement) and report on channel performance

What you’ll bring

  • 2-4+ years of experience in partnerships, channel management, business development, or sales, ideally in Accounting channel

  • Exposure to, or genuine interest in, the accounting, bookkeeping, or advisory industry

  • Comfort managing a large volume of relationships and prioritizing effectively across a broad portfolio

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across a range of partner profiles

  • A process-oriented, organized approach to managing pipeline, follow-ups, and reporting

  • A self-starter mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where process is still evolving

  • Willingness to travel for partner events and conferences

Even Better

  • Prior experience at a bookkeeping, CAS, or outsourced accounting firm

  • Familiarity with sales tax, VAT, or the broader indirect tax and compliance technology landscape

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and equity - you'll share directly in the company's success

  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Wellness perks like Headspace and the Peloton One App

  • 401(k) to help you build long-term financial security

  • Lunch and snacks when you're in the office

  • Regular team offsites and company events as we grow

  • A culture built on ownership - your work matters and people will see it!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
