Meter has ambitious growth goals for the next year, and we strongly believe that our channel partners will play a critical role in this growth. We’re looking for an exceptional Partner Events Manager to accelerate this momentum through high-impact, partner-facing events. We’re looking for someone who knows how to run tight, targeted programs that scale, and someone who can take early momentum and operationalize it into sustained growth. This is a pivotal moment in Meter’s trajectory, and this role will play a central part in building the strategies, programs, and campaigns that scale our presence through partners. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, partner engagement, and awareness in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

What success looks like

Within your first six months, you will:

  • Execute our current event calendar with excellence, raising the bar on our presence at top industry events for the partner audience

  • Build our 2026 partner events strategy, identifying the right shows, formats, and investment levels to align with channel growth goals

  • Define scalable processes for partner-facing events, to enable the rest of the partner marketing team move faster, smarter, and with greater consistency

What your day-to-day will look like

You’ll be the point person for all partner events, working hand-in-hand with your peers in marketing and partner sales to drive measurable results. On any given day, you might:

  • Lead planning, execution, and onsite presence for partner-focused events, from large industry trade shows, to curated experiences with strategic partners

  • Own event logistics: from pre-event briefings and asset coordination, to post-event reporting and follow-ups

  • Work closely with partner marketing to align on partner strategy and goals, and ensure consistent messaging to the partner audience

  • Serve as the go-to-resource for partner sales and marketing teams, enabling them on best practices around partner events and providing structure, timelines, and guidance

  • Roll up post-event results, distill insights, and adjust plans to continuously improve outcomes

You’ll also take the lead on Partner Summit 2025, own sponsor management for our user conference MeterUp, and collaborate cross-functionally to expand our Meter-hosted event programs.

Who you are

This role is for someone who thrives at the intersection of partner marketing, field marketing, and hands-on execution. Someone ready to create impact from day one and help define how Meter grows through the channel.

You’re someone who is:

  • Experienced in partner marketing or field marketing

  • Great at leading event strategy and execution, not just as a task, but as a growth lever

  • Known for running events that don’t just “go well,” but that directly support pipeline, partner engagement, and revenue goals

  • Skilled at building strong relationships with both internal teams and external partner stakeholders

  • Knowledgeable about channel programs, partner incentives, and how to tailor experiences to partner personas

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in parallel

  • Comfortable operating within ambiguity, with a builder mentality and a focus on solutions

Why Meter?

The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.

Compensation
  • The estimated base salary for this role is between $130,000 - $175,000.

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
