Founded in Silicon Valley in 2009 by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, Andreessen Horowitz (aka a16z) is a venture capital firm that backs bold entrepreneurs building the future through technology. We are stage agnostic. We invest in seed to venture to growth-stage technology companies, across AI, bio + healthcare, consumer, crypto, enterprise, fintech, games, and companies building toward American dynamism. a16z has $45B in assets under management across multiple funds.
We’ve established a team that is defined by respect for the entrepreneur and the company-building process; we know what it’s like to be in the founder’s shoes. Speedrun is a16z’s program for very early-stage startups, where we invest in founders pushing the limits in Tech, Entertainment, & AI.
Our team offers hands-on help with product, go-to-market, growth, fundraising, and hiring. It’s early days for Speedrun, which means you’ll play a central role in building and scaling the talent infrastructure behind the program as it's being built.
Through Speedrun, we’ve invested in over 120 startups like k-ID, Hedra, Favorited, Altera, Lil Snack, Human Computer, Nunu, Genway, and SweatPals. Our team is at the forefront of new technology, helping founders and their companies impact and change the world.
The RoleYour focus will be sourcing. You’ll help build and maintain strong candidate pipelines across our active portfolio, spanning engineering, product, design, GTM, and operations. You'll source across functions, levels, and domains to support the early hiring needs of fast-moving founders. You’ll also use social media and content to drive awareness of open roles and bring top talent into the Speedrun orbit.
This is not a passive, reactive, or purely advisory role. We’re looking for someone who wants to be in the trenches, finding great people, sparking conversations, and connecting them with the right opportunities.
