At Marketing Architects, we believe TV advertising is still the most powerful marketing channel. But the typical process for TV is expensive, difficult to scale and to measure. So we flipped the traditional approach on its head and rebuilt the agency model with the client in mind. Today, we're growing a team of talent from across the United States to reimagine how brands advertise on TV.
ROLE OVERVIEWThe Paralegal supports the Legal and business teams by executing legal, compliance and contract-related work across the organization. In this role, you’ll manage advertising reviews, contract analysis and compliance documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with our VP of Corporate Counsel and partner with teams across the business on contract review and compliance needs. Your work helps scale the Legal function by ensuring advertising campaigns, contracts and operations meet legal and regulatory standards.
What you'll do:
Advertising review: Evaluate advertising materials for regulatory risk, assess claims and substantiation needs using FTC standards and internal guidance. Maintain the substantiation library and advise on claims, disclosures and intellectual property use.
Contract analysis: Review standard agreements using templates and playbooks, identifying deviations from approved language. Summarize legal and business risks clearly so teams can make informed decisions.
Contract management: Maintain and improve contract templates and the agreements library. Ensure contracts are executed, stored and accessible, supporting an efficient contract lifecycle.
Compliance execution: Manage day-to-day compliance activities including regulatory calendars, data inventories and documentation. Maintain accurate records to support governance, regulatory readiness and internal oversight.
Cross-functional legal support: Act as a go-to partner for routine legal questions across creative, media, analytics, strategy, product and marketing teams. Escalate to Corporate Counsel or outside counsel when deeper legal interpretation is needed.
Who you are:
Advertising law experience: Hands on knowledge of FTC standards, with the ability to assess claims, substantiation and disclosure requirements in marketing materials.
Contract-literate operator: Comfortable interpreting standard provisions, spotting risk and applying templates or playbooks to finalize agreements efficiently.
Compliance-minded operator: Familiar with compliance programs, regulatory documentation and privacy processes, with the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
Process-driven organizer: Highly structured and detail-oriented, with reliable systems for managing documentation, deadlines and legal workflows.
AI-curious legal thinker: Uses AI tools to support research, contract summaries and documentation, while applying sound judgment on legal oversight.
Agency-environment collaborator: Comfortable partnering with creative, media, analytics and product teams in a fast-moving environment.
Our values:
Hungry Humble Smart: We seek a trifecta of talent. We take initiative and act with urgency. Look inwards before outwards. Value EQ over IQ.
Mindset Matters: Success starts between our ears. We face challenges with a calm confidence and pivot quickly. As eternal optimists, we know we are capable of great things and have survived worse. Our best days are always ahead.
Team Is Hero: We, not me. Being a hero is a team sport and it's the unique talents of many that make us one of a kind. No one person can win the day, but great teams can change the world.
