Job Summary

Responsible for providing support and assistance to Attorneys in the form of basic-to-difficult legal research, drafting of legal documents and business communications and performing administrative work. Applies an in-depth knowledge of legal concepts and processes to assist in legal proceeding. Works under the supervision of Counsel, Senior Counsel and/or VP, Deputy General Counsel.

Job Description

Reports to: Assistant Deputy General Counsel – Employment Litigation, Cable Legal Department

Location: California Region Headquarters, 3011 Triad Place, Livermore, CA 94551

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance to the employment litigation attorney in the Company’s Cable Law Department located in California. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Conduct factual background into and draft position statement for administrative charges filed with government agencies;
  • Respond to discovery requests in employment litigation matters;
  • Initiate, draft, and administer legal holds;
  • Perform legal research using online search tools and legal database software;
  • Maintain labor and employment litigation proceedings database/reports;
  • Maintain litigation calendar;
  • Collect and organize documents from litigation, arbitrations, and other proceedings;
  • Ensure timely response to legal notices and subpoenas;
  • Prepare monthly litigation and administrative charge reports;
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate Degree. Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Excellent time and document management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle projects/assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Westlaw/Lexis, MS Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Experience in drafting position statements for administrative charges preferred.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $30.91 - $46.37

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
