Pluralsight Legal team is looking for a highly motivated Paralegal, Privacy & Corporate Responsibility, to support our expanding operations. This critical role involves strengthening our commitment to responsible innovation and providing high-quality legal and operational support across global privacy, marketing, and corporate functions. Key responsibilities include privacy compliance, contract review and redlining, legal research, and corporate governance, including international subsidiary management and filings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both, privacy and corporate law, excellent organizational skills, and practical experience in both law firm and in-house environments. What you’ll do:

The right candidate for this position will support Chief AI, Privacy, and Digital Risk Counsel with:

Corporate Governance & International Operations as well as Privacy & Data Protection

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global privacy and data protection compliance programs (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, FERPA).

  • Review and negotiate Data Protection Agreements (DPAs) and other privacy-related contractual clauses.

  • Manage privacy documentation, including records of processing activities and vendor privacy assessments.

  • Coordinate and track responses to data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy inquiries.

  • Research and summarize emerging privacy regulations, enforcement actions, and best practices for the EdTech and technology sectors.

  • Review, draft, and redline vendor agreements, customer contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and partnership agreements.

  • Maintain and organize the vendor contract lifecycle (intake, approval, execution, and archival).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance) to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Review marketing materials, campaigns, and communications for compliance with privacy, advertising, and consumer protection laws.

  • Support the management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademark and copyright filings, renewals, and enforcement tracking.

  • Ensure appropriate use of third-party content, software, and open-source materials.

  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records, board resolutions, and annual filings for domestic and international subsidiaries.

  • Support the formation, maintenance, or dissolution of international entities in collaboration with internal finance and external advisors.

  • Coordinate and track local statutory filings and assist with tax-related documentation.

  • Manage corporate calendars, monitor deadlines for international compliance obligations, and maintain accurate subsidiary data.

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda related to corporate and regulatory compliance matters.

  • Help maintain and update internal legal templates, policies, and training materials.

  • Provide general support to the Legal team, including organizing files, tracking compliance deliverables, and coordinating with outside counsel as needed.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Corporate Support: Experienced in managing corporate filings, maintaining records, and handling board resolutions and annual filings for both domestic and international subsidiaries.

  • Contract Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing and redlining commercial contracts (vendor, customer, or SaaS).

  • Privacy Law Knowledge: Working understanding of privacy and data protection laws.

  • Legal Familiarity: Familiarity with intellectual property, marketing law, and corporate governance principles.

  • Industry Experience: Experience in SaaS or a technology-focused company.

  • External Coordination: Experience coordinating with external counsel and global service providers on entity management and corporate compliance.

  • Platform Familiarity: Familiarity with privacy and corporate compliance platforms.

  • Global Data Transfer: Working understanding of global data transfer mechanisms and privacy certifications .

Requirements:

  • JD/Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal certification.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, encompassing both law firm and in-house legal environments.

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Pay Transparency:

The annual US base salary range for this role is $75,800 - $105,200 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
