About Wander

Wander pioneered the “hotelification” of vacation rentals – combining the quality of a luxury hotel with the comfort of a private vacation home. Now we’re taking our verticalized travel experience guests love global with an end-to-end travel platform for trips, experiences and concierge service.

Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced performance marketer to own Wander’s paid social and display programs end-to-end (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Criteo, and emerging channels). You’ll operate autonomously as the in-house subject-matter expert—planning strategy, managing budgets, launching tests, and collaborating closely with creative, lifecycle, and data teams to hit aggressive growth targets.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Planning – Build quarterly channel roadmaps, audience frameworks, and testing calendars that ladder to company goals.

Execution & Optimization – Launch, monitor, and scale campaigns; continuously refine targeting, creative mix, and bidding to improve ROAS and CAC.

Analysis & Reporting – Own weekly pacing, deep-dive post-campaign analyses, and attribution modeling

Creative Partnership – Brief and iterate ad concepts; push for thumb-stopping creative that balances brand and performance.

Channel Expansion – Evaluate new ad formats and emerging platforms; run pilots and build business cases for scale.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 4–7 years hands-on experience managing paid social display campaigns in high-growth B2C or marketplace environments.

  • Proven track record beating ROAS/CAC targets on Meta and at least one of: TikTok, Pinterest, Criteo/retargeting DSPs.

  • Deep knowledge of campaign structures, tracking, incrementality testing, and creative best practices.

  • Comfort owning end-to-end workflows—strategy → build → launch → analysis—with minimal oversight.

  • Strong analytical chops (Excel/Sheets, Looker, or similar BI; SQL nice to have).

  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate results into clear stories for non-marketers.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience marketing travel, hospitality, or luxury-lifestyle brands.

  • Familiarity with GA4, MMM, media mix testing, or CDP-driven personalization.

  • Prior work at a startup or fast-scaling team (0 → 1 playbook)

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary & equity package

  • Remote-first culture (US-time-zones preferred) with quarterly team offsites at Wander homes

  • Unlimited PTO, 401(k) match, comprehensive health/dental/vision

Location & Reporting
  • Remote – U.S. (Some overlap with Pacific Time preferred)

  • Reports to Head of Growth Marketing

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
