Job Summary-
The Strategist, Paid Media is a skilled digital marketing professional and relationship manager responsible for independently managing a portfolio of paid media clients. This role requires expertise in campaign management across major ad platforms (Google, Meta, Microsoft), a strong focus on client retention and satisfaction, and a strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management & Relationship Building
- Own the day-to-day management of client accounts, including regular communication, reporting, and performance updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients to support retention and upsell opportunities.
- Lead client meetings, communicating insights, results, and recommendations clearly.
- Proactively identify upsell opportunities or service improvements to help clients reach their goals and grow their accounts.
- Strategic Oversight & Leadership
- Actively contribute to the strategic direction of accounts by identifying new growth opportunities, optimization paths, and marketing channel tactics.
- Collaborate with and delegate tasks to Specialists or Associates as appropriate, providing clear direction and support.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, or training to less experienced team members.
- Take initiative on internal agency projects or process improvements that benefit the broader Paid Media division.
- May supervise one or more direct reports, conducting performance reviews, check-ins, and supporting professional development
- Ad Account Management
- Provide support and guidance to specialists and associates in setting up and optimizing campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms.
- In some cases, provide execution support to Leads on more complex accounts.
- Independently manage the execution alongside client management for smaller clients.
- Monitor performance via dashboards and ensure reports reflect current data and actionable insights.
- Ensure campaigns follow best practices for structure, targeting, and creative alignment with client goals.
- If applicable, perform local SEO work including content writing, posting to social media, managing Google Business profiles.
What You'll Need:
- 3–4 years of experience managing paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads required).
- At least 2 years of client-facing or customer service experience. ●
- Google Ads Search certification required; additional platform certifications (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Microsoft Ads) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex campaigns and meet performance goals independently.
