The Role

The Honest Company has kicked off a search for a Paid Media Strategist, Retail Media to support our Paid Media Team! This role is responsible for executing and optimizing paid media strategy across retail media channels to drive category-leading growth, new customer acquisition, and brand visibility across priority retail partners. This role will support day-to-day campaign execution, testing, reporting, and optimization across platforms including but not limited to Amazon, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart and other emerging retail media networks.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns and has deep expertise in retail media networks. You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing budgets across multiple platforms. You understand performance metrics such as NTB, ROAS, TACOS and CVR, and can proactively identify optimization opportunities. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy testing, learning, and iterating to drive measurable growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of retail media (search, sponsored products, DSP, offsite + onsite programmatic display)
  • Own investment strategy, budgets, pacing, billing processes, and optimization across platforms (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, etc.), ensuring spending is within plans and accurately reconciling efforts for finance needs
  • Drive incremental growth across key retail partners by identifying performance opportunities and continuously improving campaign strategy
  • Partner closely with external media agencies, the Senior Manager of Paid Media (Brand), MarComm and Creative team members, Sales, and Category teams to align media plans with JBP priorities, retail moments, product launches, and digital shelf considerations (PDP content, ratings, availability)
  • Build and execute test-and-learn plans (creative, bidding, audience, channel mix)
  • Lead performance measurement and optimization against internal KPIs including ROAS, NTB%, TACOS, CVR, and other business-driving metrics; responsible for pulling data, analyzing, drawing insights, and clearly communicating campaign results on a monthly and as-needed basis.
  • Partner with analytics to measure incrementality and true performance impact across retail media investments
  • Integrate media with promotions, launches, and shopper marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with Brand to ensure performance-driven, on-brand creative
  • Stay informed on platform updates, industry trends, and competitive activity to continuously evolve retail media strategy

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience managing retail media for a CPG company
  • Proven track record of driving sales velocity, household penetration, and retail growth outcomes
  • Deep expertise across retail media platforms, particularly Amazon Ads and also including but not limited to Walmart Connect and Target Roundel
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics tied to business goals
  • Experience with Mixed Media Model platforms, incrementality testing, and clean room environments
  • Experience partnering with other teams to create strong assets and content that drive clicks and sales on retail channels
  • Experience partnering with external media agency
  • Deep knowledge of industry trends, platform trends and competitive positioning in the CPG industry

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $$75,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
