About Peppr

Peppr gives independent restaurants the POS and ordering solutions built for how they actually work. We focus on solving real problems owners face every day, from managing the dinner rush to driving more sales through digital channels. Running a restaurant is hard enough without fighting your technology. That’s why we handle setup and launch, so restaurants can focus on their guests and grow their business faster. Join us on our journey to transform the restaurant experience, one transaction at a time.

About the Role

As the Paid Marketing Manager, you’ll own Peppr’s paid acquisition strategy across digital channels. You’ll plan, launch, and optimize campaigns that drive awareness, qualified leads, and conversions — particularly within the restaurant and hospitality space. This role is ideal for someone who’s both analytical and creative, comfortable managing budgets, testing new strategies, and iterating quickly in a startup environment.

This role is open to remote candidates on the U.S. West Coast.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and other high-performing platforms.

  • Manage acquisition funnels, targeting strategies, and landing page performance to maximize ROI.

  • Develop and test ad creatives, messaging, and audience segments aligned with restaurant operator pain points.

  • Analyze data to inform budget allocation, forecast performance, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with content, design, and sales teams to align campaigns with key business goals.

  • Implement and maintain robust tracking, attribution, and reporting frameworks.

  • Stay current with platform trends, competitor activity, and new digital tools to maintain a performance edge.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns (preferably in SaaS, restaurant tech, or B2B environments).

• Proven ability to drive measurable growth and optimize CAC/ROAS performance.

• Hands-on expertise with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Looker, or similar).

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience managing and interpreting campaign data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) — fluency is required.

• Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience marketing to SMB audiences, especially in the restaurant or hospitality sectors.

• Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing automation tools.

• Experience managing creative production for digital advertising.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
