About Rebel Athletic

At Rebel Athletic, we don’t just make apparel. We create confidence, empower performance, and redefine what it means to wear your passion.

Since 2012, we’ve disrupted the industry as the fastest growing cheer and performance wear brand in the world. Recognized by global brand consultancy Eat Big Fish as a Challenger Brand to Watch, Rebel is known for bold design, innovation, and unmatched custom craftsmanship.

From couture-inspired uniforms to elevated athleisure, we blend high fashion with high function. Every piece is built for athletes and performers who want to stand out, not blend in.

Founded by Karen Aldridge, Rebel started as a bold idea and grew into a global movement that celebrates creativity, individuality, and empowerment.

Our business is rooted in a made-to-order team and group orders. We partner directly with teams, gyms, studios, and program owners to design and produce custom uniforms, costumes, and performance apparel at scale. This collaborative approach brings each program’s vision to life through high-quality, fully customized pieces built for both performance and impact. Summary of Position

We are looking for driven, personable Outside Sales Representatives to grow our presence in the Studio Dance market. In this role, you are the primary connection between Rebel and the programs in your territory. You will meet with customers in person, learn their needs, guide them through the process, and help them create something they’re excited to wear. You’ll work closely with internal teams who support design, production, and customer experience, but you are the relationship builder who keeps everything moving.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being out in the field, meeting new people, building relationships, and managing their own pace and performance. Success in this role comes from developing strong customer partnerships and growing your territory over time.

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. As a territory-based sales representative, you are expected to dedicate your time to managing customer relationships, prospecting, appointments, events, and territory development. Due to the nature of the role, workweeks may regularly exceed 40 hours during peak seasons, competitions, events, and customer deadlines.

Location

This is a remote, territory-based role. Candidates must be located in or near one of these areas and able to travel locally for in-person meetings, events, and territory support:

  • Los Angeles, CA
  • San Bernardino, CA

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps, target high-value opportunities, and build a strategic territory plan
  • Maintain a strong pipeline that supports consistent revenue growth
  • Take full ownership of performance, activity, and outcomes

New Business Development and Hunting

  • Spend a minimum of 50% of time in the field prospecting within your territory
  • Cold call, visit, and engage schools, gyms, and programs daily
  • Generate new leads through consistent outreach, networking, and event presence
  • Build pipeline through disciplined prospecting, not inbound reliance
  • Maintain high activity levels across calls, visits, and follow-ups

Sales Execution and Closing

  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through close
  • Conduct in-person presentations, fittings, and product demonstrations
  • Drive urgency in the sales process and move opportunities forward
  • Close business consistently and convert prospects into long-term customers
  • Handle objections confidently and maintain control of the sales process

Customer Management and Responsiveness

  • Maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers
  • Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries, requests, and issues
  • Set clear expectations and ensure follow-through on all commitments
  • Deliver a high level of service that reinforces trust and drives repeat business

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate order execution and delivery timelines
  • Communicate clearly on customer needs, deadlines, and expectations
  • Own the customer experience from sale through fulfillment

Events and Market Presence

  • Represent Rebel Athletic at competitions, trade shows, and industry events
  • Use events as a primary source of lead generation and relationship building
  • Establish strong visibility and credibility within your market

Performance and Accountability

  • Meet or exceed sales targets consistently
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and reporting
  • Operate with urgency, discipline, and a results-driven mindset
  • Take accountability for both wins and losses within your territory

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of outside or territory sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Demonstrated experience in cold calling, prospecting, and closing
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory without supervision
  • High level of organization and time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general CRM usage
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cheer, dance, athletics, or apparel
  • Existing network within schools, gyms, or athletic programs
  • Experience with event-based or seasonal sales cycles

Compensation Structure

This position follows a draw against commission model.
You will receive bimonthly draw payments that are recouped against future commissions. Once earned commissions exceed the annual draw amount, additional commissions are paid according to the Rebel Athletic Sales Compensation Plan. Complete details are provided in the written offer.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
