The Outside Sales Rep estimates job requirements, prepares bids, responds to customer inquiries, tracks projects, and ensures timely payments.
What you’ll do:
- Estimates job requirements, prepares and submits bids for crushed concrete sales
- Conveys product selection based on proper material and availability based on inventory and pending orders
- Uses established formulas to determine the amount of material required
- Estimates time requirements for site deliveries
- Maintains project tracking list ensuring totals are updated with new jobs and completed jobs
- Responds to customer needs, issues and exercises judgment to solve
- Provides job information sheets to customers on all new orders
- Submits pre-qualification package to companies requesting them
- Monitors customer accounts for timely payment and performs collection duties where necessary
- Proficient in Word, Excel, understanding of KPI’s
- Possible Travel Required
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
What you’ll need:
- Some sales experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Construction, Concrete & Asphalt Recycling and or Demolition, preferred
- Strong computer skills, math and writing skills sufficient to estimate project costs and write proposals; and math skills to develop, track, and prepare job costs reports
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills to communicate with other employees, supervisors, and clients
- Ability to read and interpret specs and drawings
- Ability to multitask while remaining focused
- Ability to drive motor vehicle
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time without breaks
- Proficient skills in MS Office, specifically MS Excel
Working Conditions:
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Exposure to loud noise, machinery, chemicals, fumes, odors, etc
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range $68,900 to $89,570 USD
