Key Outside Sales Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Full time, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday work week, 8AM to 5PM.
  • Customer Service: Primary focus on in-person interactions with the goal of developing new business. 
  • Marketing & Management: Identify and pursue new accounts to generate profitable business.
  • Communication: Respond to customer inquires in regards to product, pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Product Support: Advise customers on products based on their specific needs, recommending substitutions when applicable.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an understanding of product available, stay informed on market conditions and engaged with customer feedback.
Qualifications

Outside Sales Qualifications

  1. Age (Required): Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Experience (Required): At least 1 year of experience in sales environment.
  3. Education (Required): High school diploma or equivalent. (Preferred) Two years in college coursework in sales, business, or marketing. 
  4. License (Required): Maintain a valid California Driver License with less than two points on DMV record.
  5. Communication: Professional oral and written communication skills. 
  6. Work Ethic and Reliability: Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and effective time management.
