The Sales Development Representative will conduct outbound sales, research potential clients, manage cold outreach, and book demos to drive the growth of Instrumentl's platform.
Hello, we’re Instrumentl.
We’re a mission-driven startup helping the nonprofit sector to drive impact, and we’re well on our way to becoming the #1 most-loved grant discovery and management tool. To help us get there, we’re hiring a remote Sales Development Representative to represent Instrumentl to prospective clients.
About us:
Instrumentl is a hyper-growth YC-backed startup with over 4,500 nonprofit clients, from local homeless shelters to larger organizations like the San Diego Zoo and the University of Alaska. We are building the future of fundraising automation, helping nonprofits to discover, track, and manage grants efficiently through our SaaS platform.
Our charts are dramatically up-and-to-the-right 📈 — we’re cash flow positive and doubling year-over-year, with customers who love us (NPS is 65+ and Ellis PMF survey is 60+). Join us on this rocket ship to Mars!
About the role:
In this role, you’ll be helping organizations big and small get access to more resources so they can grow their impact.
Unlike our inbound SDR function, this role focuses entirely on generating and pursuing cold outbound leads. You will be on the front lines researching, identifying, and initiating outreach to high-potential organizations that may have never heard of Instrumentl before. Success in this role requires comfort operating in ambiguity, high energy, resilience, and a strong curiosity to learn about prospects quickly.
Over the past year, we’ve seen strong results from proactive outreach to universities and nonprofits, and now we are growing a dedicated outbound team to scale this motion. We are looking for someone excited about spending their day speaking with organizations that could benefit from Instrumentl but are not yet aware of our platform.
We are not just looking for a typical sales rep. We want someone who wants to build a sales career and do meaningful work at the same time.
This role is perfect for a sales professional early in their career, or someone seeking to switch into sales, who wants to help some of the best organizations in the world.
The Instrumentl team is fully distributed (read: no office!).
