Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in East Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.
Pay range: $24-$31/hr
Job Responsibilities
- Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
- Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
- Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
- Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
- Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
Minimum Qualifications
- Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
- Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
- Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
- Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
- Current BLS CPR certification
