Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Organizational Design and Change Management Consultant to guide our clients through transformational projects, with a focus on large-scale ERP implementations. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic thinking and practical execution to design bespoke operating models and enable adoption and upskilling across the organization. You will be a key leader in driving change, employing human-centered design to navigate the technology implementation.
Responsibilities
- Organizational Design:
- Assess and analyze current organizational structures, processes, and identify gaps and opportunities in preparation for the transformation
- Design future-state operating models, including new roles, responsibilities, reporting structures, and governance frameworks
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leadership to integrate organizational design principles with talent management and workforce planning
- Change Management:
- Complement change management strategies that promote user adoption and minimize resistance
- Conduct impact analyses to assess how the new technology will affect various business units and operational functions
- Coach leadership to act as champions for the transformation
- Design and implement communication strategies to ensure clear, consistent messaging throughout the project lifecycle
- Skills & Competency Development:
- Assess new skills and competencies required for success in the transformed organization
- Work with training and development teams to create training programs that address skill gaps and ensure end-user proficiency
- Talent and Recruiting Strategy:
- Collaborate with recruiting and HR to define new job descriptions and talent profiles aligned with the enhanced roles and skills
- Support the development of career path initiatives to help employees transition into new roles and grow within the company
Qualifications
- Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in organizational design, change management, or human capital consulting
- Demonstrated experience in complementing change management initiatives for large-scale ERP implementations
- Expertise in common change management methodologies and frameworks
- Experience conducting change impact assessments and developing talent development strategies
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
- Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA)
- Certification in a recognized organizational development and change management methodology (e.g., ODCP, Prosci)
- Experience designing operating models and defining new roles and competencies
- Experience with talent management and recruiting within corporate, not for profit or higher education environments
