In this role, you will develop and deliver integrated change and communication plans that help large, complex organizations successfully adopt new technologies, processes, and ways of working. You will work directly with senior leaders, guide strategy, oversee key deliverables, and help organizations navigate transformational change with clarity and confidence.

Things to note:

  • This is a remote position. We welcome applicants from various locations, though our ideal candidate will be based in the Twin Cities, MN.
  • Some on-site work may be required at client locations or at the Pivot office, depending on client needs. While Pivot offers flexibility, client requirements ultimately guide work arrangements.
  • The role may involve extended periods of computer work, virtual collaboration, and occasional in-person meetings.

Requirements

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead large-scale organizational change initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor to executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Develop integrated OCM and strategic communications strategies including stakeholder engagement, messaging, and adoption plans, to drive clarity, alignment, and readiness.
  • Conduct and oversee impact assessments, readiness evaluations, and stakeholder analyses to inform change approaches and communication needs.
  • Create and deliver compelling internal communications, including messaging frameworks, executive communications, and change-related narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Guide strategy while executing key deliverables, ensuring work is aligned, actionable, and moves the program forward.
  • Coach and mentor junior consultants, providing direction on methodologies, deliverables, and client engagement to ensure consistent quality.
  • Measure and monitor adoption and communications effectiveness, using insights to refine strategies and maintain momentum across the organization.

Why we will love you:

  • You bring 8–10 years of experience in organizational change management, internal communications, or training within complex, global environments.
  • You have strong mastery of change management methodologies and tools (Prosci certification preferred) and can apply them pragmatically to real-world challenges.
  • You are skilled at developing and executing strategic internal communications, including executive messaging and change-related narratives.
  • You are confident partnering with and influencing senior leaders, guiding them through change with clear strategies and sound judgment.
  • You have experience supporting large-scale technology or transformation initiatives.
  • You balance strategy with hands-on execution, comfortable setting direction and delivering high-quality work independently.
  • You thrive in a dynamic consulting environment, bringing adaptability, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset to every engagement.

Pivot embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative environment that benefits our clients, our team, and the broader community. Contractor selection is based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
