What we’re looking for:

Custom Ink is seeking an energetic and experienced Manager of Organic Social and Community Management to significantly elevate our brand's presence across key social media platforms and deepen our engagement with our diverse customer community. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is critical in shaping Custom Ink's organic voice, driving authentic conversations, and transforming followers into brand advocates.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive organic social media strategy, nurturing our community, and ensuring our social channels are a true reflection of the Custom Ink brand and values. This role requires a blend of creative vision, understanding of social platforms, and deep experience with and passion for Gen AI-led creativity.  The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in organic social media management and community building, preferably within a consumer brand, e-commerce, or creative industry.

  • Deep, demonstrated expertise across major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit), with a strong understanding of their unique audiences, best practices, and algorithmic nuances.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful organic social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and community growth.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting engaging copy that aligns with brand voice and resonates with diverse audiences.

  • Passion for leveraging AI-tools to better understand our communities and what they are searching for as well as for developing content at scale.

  • Experience in creative content development for social media, demonstrating a mix of hands-on creation, and experience working effectively with external creative agencies.

  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Experience with social media management and listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch).

  • A natural connector and empathetic communicator who genuinely enjoys engaging with online communities and building relationships.

  • Highly creative with an eye for compelling visuals and storytelling.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

What you’ll do:

  • Organic Social Strategy Development: Develop, execute, and continually optimize Custom Ink's organic social media strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn), aligning with overall brand, marketing, and business objectives.

  • Creative Content Development & Curation: Oversee the content calendar, planning, creation, and publishing of engaging organic social content. This includes being responsible for a mix of developing compelling content in-house leveraging AI-driven content creation tools, as well as collaborating closely with our creative agency to produce high-quality assets that ensure brand consistency and audience relevance across images, videos, stories, and interactive formats.

  • Community Building & Engagement (Including Reddit): Actively manage and grow Custom Ink's online communities. Foster authentic conversations, respond to comments and messages, identify and engage with brand advocates, and proactively seek opportunities to build stronger relationships with our customers and prospects. Play a key role in developing and executing our Reddit strategy, understanding its unique subcultures and fostering positive brand presence within relevant communities.

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for organic social media, track performance against goals, analyze data to uncover insights, and provide regular, actionable reports to stakeholders. Use data to inform future content and strategy.

  • Trend Spotting & Innovation: Stay on top of the latest social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies. Proactively identify and test new content formats, features, and strategies to keep Custom Ink at the forefront of social engagement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams including Brand, Content, Product, Customer Service, Paid Social, and Analytics to ensure seamless integration of social media initiatives with broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer support efforts.

  • Influencer & UGC Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of strategies for user-generated content (UGC) collection and organic influencer engagement, leveraging the power of our community to amplify brand messaging.

  • Crisis Management Support: Assist in monitoring social sentiment and support the communications team in managing any potential brand crises or sensitive topics on social media.

  • Social Listening: Implement and manage social listening tools to monitor brand mentions, industry conversations, competitive activity, and consumer sentiment, leveraging insights to inform strategy and content.

  • Growth in organic traffic (social, search and direct) and inclusion in AI Search and inclusion on the SERP

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and timely support of key initiatives

  • Community responsiveness, authenticity, and brand advocacy development

Compensation:

We are committed to providing pay transparency and equitable compensation.

  • For this salaried exempt position is $87,000 - $110,000 plus a performance bonus targeted at 5% of base salary, tied to individual/company performance and continued retention. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
