Key Order Selector Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Full time, 4 days/week, 3PM start time, overtime required
  • Order Selection: Read and assemble customer orders accurately and place completed selections onto pallets for shipping.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect products to ensure all items meet company standards for quality and freshness.
  • Labeling & Identification: Mark orders, materials, and products with identifying information or labels as required.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Weigh or count items for distribution to confirm accuracy against customer orders.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely move products using handcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts between storage, production, and dock areas.
  • Organization: Sort and store products on racks, bins, and pallets according to size, type, grade, ripeness, or product code.
Qualifications

Order Selector Qualifications

  • Age (Required): Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience (Preferred): 1 year of experience with produce, a warehouse environment, order selection, or material handling.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material transport equipment.
  • Work Ethic and Reliability: Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet operational goals and maintain productivity standards.

  • Employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and handle a hand truck loaded with cases of produce.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a refrigertaed warehouse environment and involves exposure to varying temperatures, moisture, and wet floors. Work is fast-paced and physically active.
