The Oracle Enterprise Platform Engineer will manage and optimize Oracle database environments, support EBS applications, ensure performance and reliability, and contribute to platform strategy.
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer (Oracle EBS Application DBA) to join our team and play a key role in shaping the technical vision for our next-generation data platform. This position requires deep expertise in Oracle 19c databases, Oracle EBS 12.2.x, and WebLogic environments on Linux, along with a strong foundation in database architecture, performance optimization, and platform reliability.
You will design, build, and manage enterprise-grade database environments while contributing to platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle database environments ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Administer and support Oracle EBS 12.2.x, Oracle 19c, and WebLogic Server environments.
- Perform core DBA functions including installation, patching, cloning, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Define and enforce database standards, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and optimize database performance; proactively resolve issues and ensure system stability.
- Support data integrity, security controls, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in architecture discussions, influencing platform strategy and roadmap.
- Manage database deployments across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across EBS and integrated applications.
- Build and maintain automation tools for monitoring and managing large-scale systems.
- Contribute to new projects, including database architecture design and platform evolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 19c (or newer) on Linux/Unix, including RAC environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration (upgrades, migrations, support).
- Proven experience with Oracle WebLogic Server (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades).
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to build automation tools for monitoring and system management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based architectures.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, EPM, or other Oracle Cloud applications.
- Exposure to Oracle Middleware technologies (SOA Suite, ODI, etc.).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCA, OCI Architect, WebLogic Administrator).
- Understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Hybrid role: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote. Onsite at Deerfield, Chicago office or Long Island, NY office
