Caldera Medical is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and ensure the reliability of our Oracle Fusion Cloud and on-premises database environments. This role is responsible for database security, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data integrity while also supporting business processes, reporting, and system improvements.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud-based database solutions, integrations, and automation to enhance system efficiency and support enterprise applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:Oracle Database Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (Oracle Fusion Cloud).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover strategies (e.g., RMAN, Data Guard).
• Optimize database storage, indexing, and partitions for peak performance.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and performance tuning strategies.
• Monitor database health, resolve performance bottlenecks, and automate alerts.

Data Management & Integrity

• Maintain data integrity, security policies, and access controls.
• Develop and enforce backup and recovery processes to prevent data loss.
• Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data movement.
• Support data migrations and integrations between Oracle databases and other enterprise systems.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other tools to monitor performance.
• Tune SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures to improve efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve slow queries, deadlocks, and resource utilization issues.

Cross-Functional Support & Automation

• Collaborate with IT, application, and business teams to ensure smooth database operations.
• Automate database maintenance, monitoring, and reporting tasks.
• Assist in designing and improving data models, workflows, and reporting solutions.
• Provide database support for ERP, BI, and analytics teams.
• Train front-end users on database-related tools and reporting solutions to improve user adoption and data-driven decision-making.
• Create user-friendly documentation, guides, and resources to support training efforts.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain data security.

• Automate 30% to 70% of manual database maintenance and monitoring tasks.
• Optimize data processing and reporting speed by 10% to 50%.

Issue Resolution & Support

• Resolve critical database issues within SLA-defined timelines (e.g., within 4 hours).
• Reduce recurring database-related incidents by 30% to 40% through proactive monitoring.
• Achieve high user satisfaction through effective front-end training and timely support

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud Certification.
• 7+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c administration.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), and PaaS/SaaS models.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and support non-technical end users.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with BI tools, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• Experience developing training materials or conducting end-user workshops is a plus.
