JOB SUMMARY:

Argano is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Oracle Cloud implementations for our clients. Depending on client needs, you'll either manage several smaller engagements at once (single-module deployments, phased rollouts, or optimization projects) or serve as the dedicated PM on one larger, multi-pillar implementation spanning HCM, ERP/SCM, EPM, and/or CX. We're looking for someone comfortable in both roles.

Our ideal candidate has a strong track record delivering Oracle Cloud HCM projects and understands how HCM connects with the rest of the Oracle Cloud suite. Experience leading ERP, SCM, EPM, or CX implementations is highly valued.

You'll be accountable for delivering each engagement on time, within scope, and within budget, and you'll serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and Argano leadership.

If you've led Oracle Cloud HCM programs and you're ready to take on the full suite, this is your next move!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Leadership and Delivery:

  • Lead Oracle Cloud implementations from initiation through go-live, hypercare, and closure, scaling Oracle methodology to each engagement's size and complexity

  • Define scope and deliverables based on the SOW, and build project plans covering timelines, resources, and dependencies

  • Balance priorities and resources across concurrent engagements, or coordinate parallel workstreams, integration points, and shared milestones on multi-pillar programs

  • Plan and run key activities: design workshops, testing (SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll where applicable), data conversion, cutover, and go-live readiness

Team and Resource Management:

  • Partner with Center of Excellence (COE) Leads to staff engagements and adjust staffing as projects progress

  • Lead functional and technical consultants, workstream leads, integration and data teams, and client counterparts

  • Direct the QA Lead to ensure deliverables meet Argano's quality standards and client expectations

Governance, Risk, and Financial Management:

  • Set up governance suited to each engagement, from lightweight status cadences to steering committees

  • Manage RAID (risks, actions, issues, decisions), including cross-project and cross-pillar dependencies, and drive mitigation plans

  • Maintain a budget tracker/burn sheet for each engagement and manage change requests against the SOW

  • Follow internal and external escalation processes, keeping Argano leadership and client stakeholders informed

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present status, risks, and decisions to client sponsors and senior leadership

  • Manage expectations and competing priorities across HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales/Service

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or relevant master's preferred

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred; Oracle Cloud implementation certifications a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years managing full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementations

  • Strong experience leading Oracle Cloud HCM projects, with solid understanding of Core HR, Talent Management, Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Labor

  • Experience managing Oracle Cloud ERP (Financials, Procurement, Projects), SCM, EPM (Planning, FCCS, ARCS), or CX (Sales, Service, Marketing) projects is highly valued

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent engagements and/or a multi-pillar program, including shared resources, integrations, and competing timelines

  • Background in implementation consulting, ideally with a systems integrator or Oracle partner

  • An integration mindset: the ability to see how decisions in one area affect others, such as how HCM organization structures impact Financials

  • Strong discipline in budget tracking, forecasting, and change control

  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting clearly to executive audiences

  • Proficiency with PM tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Trello

  • Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with Oracle Cloud releases

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong ability to communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders.

  • Strong Project Leadership skills: Provide guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.

  • Stakeholder Management: Skill in managing stakeholder expectations and addressing their needs.

  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations, while directing QA Lead.

  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and disputes within project teams or with stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Address project issues and challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Escalation Management: Manage proper internal communication to Argano leadership team and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate internal and external escalation processes are followed.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
