Optical Physics Company (OPC) is an equal opportunity company with a strong team participation culture. We are seeking a Systems Engineer / Optical Engineer to join our team in Simi Valley! You will be responsible for managing and helping in the adaptive optics lab.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and implement lab projects

  • Learn and maintain the company's technologies

  • Direct and lead the work of technical staff

  • Help in creating lab procedures and processes

  • Assist in the success of Aerospace standards

  • Troubleshoot any issues related to lab management

  • Be able to learn the management of DOORS and such applications in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Physics or a similar field.

  • Previous experience in Adaptive Optics, lasers, and other related fields desirable

  • Experience in applications like DOORs is preferred

  • Experience with Zemax is preferred

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Knowledge of Aerospace quality standards is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace lab environment is required


Benefits:


  • Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 Annual

  • Holidays: 9 days

  • PTO: 5 weeks

  • Performance bonus: At the company's discretion
