Job Description
Optical Physics Company (OPC) is an equal opportunity company with a strong team participation culture. We are seeking a Systems Engineer / Optical Engineer to join our team in Simi Valley! You will be responsible for managing and helping in the adaptive optics lab.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement lab projects
- Learn and maintain the company's technologies
- Direct and lead the work of technical staff
- Help in creating lab procedures and processes
- Assist in the success of Aerospace standards
- Troubleshoot any issues related to lab management
- Be able to learn the management of DOORS and such applications in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Physics or a similar field.
- Previous experience in Adaptive Optics, lasers, and other related fields desirable
- Experience in applications like DOORs is preferred
- Experience with Zemax is preferred
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong leadership qualities
- Knowledge of Aerospace quality standards is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace lab environment is required
Benefits:
- Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 Annual
- Holidays: 9 days
- PTO: 5 weeks
- Performance bonus: At the company's discretion
