Job Description
The Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer, Technical Operations will be responsible for leading and delivering technology solutions and operational support for the Direct-to-Consumer businesses within the TV & Streaming division. The candidate will be responsible for aligning technology strategy with the Direct-to-Consumer business priorities. They will oversee service delivery, program delivery, and application/infrastructure operational support - representing services across the NBCUniversal Operations & Technology division.
This role will be the primary Business Engagement Leader and strategic partner for the Direct-to-Consumer business stakeholders. There is a requirement for strong integration across multiple executive business partners and senior leadership. They will need to communicate effectively at all levels, manage risk and issue mitigation, and oversee multi-year strategic planning and roadmap alignment.
They will own the delivery of IT solutions and operational support inclusive of discovery, scope, defining project phases and budget for initial build & on-going support, vendor selection and working with Product, Engineering and Architecture peer groups across Technology & Operations. This role is also responsible to establish & own the support team for on-going post go-live support & solution improvements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with business leaders across Direct-to-Consumer to identify technology needs and develop technical strategies, inclusive of process analysis, internal IT assessments, competitor benchmarking, and industry technology offerings.
  • Lead Technology & Operations team aligned to Direct-to-Consumer businesses representing all services across Operations & Technology.
  • Own the Technology & Operations operating budget and LRP planning in support of and aligned with Direct-to-Consumer business priorities.
  • Manage delivery of programs across all key stakeholders in conjunction with peer Product, Engineering and Architecture groups as well as third-party vendors where applicable.
  • Closely manage communications and expectations across all groups.
  • Establish productive relationships with peer CIO and CTO teams and serve as liaison for delivery of solutions and services across the Entertainment Content & Networks divisions.
  • Collaborate with Workplace Services team aligned to Entertainment Content & Networks customers to maximize end-user capabilities and incident response service levels.
  • Provide oversight on delivery of application and infrastructure services that directly impact day-to-day activities for internal departments and their customers.
  • Provide hands-on direction and leadership in analyzing and resolving operational challenges related to the Entertainment Content & Networks application portfolio.
  • Act as a change agent by anticipating technology opportunities, proposing viable solutions, and enabling process/technical innovation.
  • Partner with business teams to document processes/workflows, identify technology requirements/enhancements, track issues, prioritize/schedule deliverables, and validate implementations.
  • Lead project management, business analysis, and application testing activities for assigned technology initiatives; and drive project execution by consistently working across relevant application, infrastructure, external vendor, and business teams.
  • Research new technologies, evaluate usefulness for the business, determine compatibility with NBCUniversal infrastructure, assess compliance with NBCUniversal policies, and develop integration strategies.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • 10 + years' experience leading teams delivering & supporting technology services.
  • Proven experience in support of Direct-to-Consumer initiatives.
  • Experience with both vendor-managed and non-vendor-managed solutions and third-party team resources.
