About This Role

The People & Culture Team is responsible for cultivating and reinforcing the heart and soul of the company. We are seeking an organized and decisive Manager of Talent Operations to help us build scalable global hiring practices, utilize data to support and influence our decision-making, and advance Apeel’s growth multinationally.
What You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of Talent Acquisition Coordinators, including running check-in meetings, identifying challenges, and removing roadblocks
  • Establish scalable recruiting operations; identify, recommend, and implement improvements to such processes in alignment with TA’s overarching recruitment strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with People Operations and Learning & Development to provide depth and visibility into Apeel’s hiring process through the use of reporting, metrics, and analysis
  • Maintain data integrity in Greenhouse, ensuring that all ATS data is clean, machine readable, and up-to-date. Provide data to the People & Culture team for internal data dashboards as well as to TA Specialists on an as-needed basis to inform strategic decision-making for requisitions, hiring manager partnerships, and sourcing
  • Manage existing vendor relationships and proactively identify technological solutions that enhance the quality and diversity of hires, improve client experience, and/or increase process efficiency (e.g. integrations, software tools, automation, AI tools etc.)
  • In partnership with talent acquisition leadership, codify internal team knowledge into digestible and accessible information for team members to reference and, as needed, present trainings and global initiatives for TA programs (e.g. referral programs, intern programs)  
  • Empower the coordination function to successfully execute against the annual hiring plan--drive impact measurements for TA’s work through quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to ensure that the team is delivering for all of its stakeholders
  • Enhance Apeel’s employer brand by creating a world class candidate experience and, in partnership with Apeel’s Marketing function, drive targeted marketing initiatives through company pages (e.g. Glassdoor, LinkedIn)
  • Build trust and rapport with your immediate teammates and internal partners to further establish talent acquisition as a strategic business partner

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience driving operational excellence in a high-growth or high-volume industry with prior experience in talent acquisition strongly preferred
  • Prior professional experience leading, mentoring, and coaching individuals or teams 
  • The ability to identify core issues and develop solutions that address true root causes
  • Comfort working with data and metrics--you are able to take basic data sets, clean them up, draw meaningful conclusions from them, communicate your conclusions, and action accordingly
  • Proven skills in negotiation and diplomacy; you are able to find creative solutions to proactively drive people and teams forward 
  • Deep knowledge of applicant tracking systems and reporting, as well as Excel or Google Sheets
  • Proven ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives at once and to take a team through successful initiations and completions of large-scale projects
  • Confidence in your own experience and ideas--you maintain awareness of your “true north” and seek the best solutions and outcomes for your stakeholders
  • Passion for the art and science of recruiting
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get any job done; you are motivated by the inherent satisfaction of doing a great job
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across various levels and functions
  • Ability to work with grace under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
