The Safety team at TikTok help ensure that our community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our apps while protecting our brand. As a Senior Manager, US Trust & Safety Enforcement Ops, you will be on the front lines, handling sensitive, complex user-facing issues. You’ll leverage learnings to build at-scale operations, enhance operational workflow/process, safety-first support solutions. You’ll also help shape team strategy and execute on team objectives using complex project management, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders across the globe, including Product and Process, Policy, Strategy & Analytics, and Quality Assurance to ensure that TikTok can detect, triage, and, if possible, prevent safety incidents from proliferating on our platform. This role also requires creative solutions, especially with moderation and quality, as well as a deep understanding of abuse trends specific to US cultural norms and sensitivities. Your interest and professional expertise are grounded in extra-curricular and academic interests related to internet policy, user behavior, or platform management. This position will be full-time and based in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities - Manage US Safety Enforcement Operation teams (User Safety, Brand Safety and Platform Integrity) by implementing excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users, brand, and our partners from abuse across our platform - Oversee, train, and guide a team of direct reports with everyday tasks and career development - Identify and evaluate abuse trends to adapt and approve policies and processes - Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements - Track and analyze key operational and performance metrics, identify trends, and develop solutions to optimize team workflows, improve efficiency with data-based strategies - Collaborate with technical teams to provide input on technical solutions and support end-to-end solution delivery - Translate top risk insights into operational solutions - Surface use-cases and edge-cases from around various functions -- work with those teams to validate requirements and proposed procedures - Deliver regular recommendations on time and cost efficiencies while maintaining quality standards - Lead ad hoc projects within the other cross-functional teams that map to our broader goal of driving process efficiencies.
Qualifications: - Minimum BA/BS - 5+ years of work experience in Trust & Safety, operational, or risk management roles - A minimum of 2 years in a people management role - Demonstrable experience in product development, project management, and/or system implementations - Proven ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data - Experience working with international partners - Travel internationally to meet global stakeholders - Strong attention to detail -- highly self-driven and results-oriented - Experience working with international partners in different time zones
