The VideoAmp People Team is looking for a Senior Director who will be responsible for onboarding, developing and partnering with subject-matter-experts to educate engineers on how to ramp more confidently and quickly in their roles. This role will program manage the engineer ramp experience to embed strategies to maximize role impact and efficacy.  You will work in close partnership with the VP, L+OD/ EX to develop strong consultative relationships, feedback loops, and regular opportunities to hear from People leaders and others about successes, opportunities, and needs relative to the engineering department’s efforts to drive sales growth. 

As a Sr. Director, Technical Enablement, you will design, develop, lead and facilitate technical training content and programs to drive the onboarding and ongoing enablement of the VideoAmp technical teams.  These programs include building technical learning paths, eLearning self-paced courses, certifications, and other enablement programs to maximize the technical team members’ productivity leading to success in their role.

You think strategically and are adaptable to changing priorities to drive performance, productivity and results via building strong relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strong consultative relationships, feedback loops, and regular opportunities to hear from People leaders and ICs about successes, opportunities, and needs relative to the engineering department’s goals.
  • Deliver One-to-one coaching for all People Leaders and key contributors on the Engineering team 
  • On a regular basis, you will provide data on learning effectiveness back to the organization,  and offer insights into ways to continually improve learning effectiveness to  deliver data products and enterprise class software for direct customer consumption
  • Develop and drive technical training roadmaps for engineering and product cohorts within the organization including individual contributors and People Leaders.
  • Facilitate group learning sessions as part of the new hire onboarding journey at VideoAmp.
  • Design and deploy coding and new technology training programs to ramp new engineers and technical Vampers to maximum productivity within 30 days of their hire.
  • Partner with the Engineering and Product  leadership team to determine learning needs by org and build ‘People Products & Programs’ to address the needs
  • Measure everything that matters in order to use the data to inform the learning strategy and holistic onboarding experience for the engineering and product orgs.
  • Determine the metrics that matter the most to drive individual performance and success of those you teach
  • Partner with the People team including employee experience, learning & organization development, talent acquisition, workplace experience and senior leadership across all areas of the business 
  • Model and embed company values and manifesto in all activities, processes and mechanisms 
  • Serve as a trusted member of the People team and ambassador of the organization with the ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Design, implement and sustain the successful execution of enablement programs to ensure the Engineer and Product  teams are equipped with content, resources, tools, and training to effectively differentiate our solution.
  • Define, implement and drive a technical onboarding program to ensure new team members have a technical foundation for success at the end of their onboarding
  • Align with internal stakeholders to identify the knowledge and skills gaps and create training content and programs to address those gaps
  • Ability to take complex technical concepts and clearly explain them to audiences of varying technical expertise (from sales professionals to technical experts)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience training engineers and product teams in the adtech space
  • Have a deep knowledge of tech, data, TV and the digital video space
  • Have a demonstrated success teaching others to achieve their goals in a high-volume, agile and extremely fast-paced environment
  • Experience in analyzing and assessing learning and development needs and translating those needs into learning products and programs
  • Skilled in adult learning theory and methodologies; learning and development certifications and accreditation strongly preferred
  • Experience with learning management systems, content development tools, and virtual delivery platforms is a plus.
  • Experience making data-driven decisions and influencing through data insights and analytics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on authenticity and trust
  • Ability to proactively identify and assess gaps by recommending solutions upstream

  • Ability to work well under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to manage competing priorities, and stay flexible through growth and change.
  • Demonstrate empathy, kindness and compassion in your words and actions
  • College degree with a focus in the areas of business, technology, or learning/education
